| 内容記述 | As an absorbing boundary in infinite domain problems, the perfectly matched layer (PML) is introduced to attenuate outgoing waves. The PML equation of wave propagation in a nonphysical absorbing material is derived from the governing equation with the aide of the complex coordinate stretching; both the domain of analysis and the PML are dealt with the equivalent wave equations. Because of the coordinate independence in stretching, the PML in one-dimension is essential for multidimensional problems. Through finite element computations for basic, linear and nonlinear wave propagation problems, we investigate the PML parameters to design efficient PMLs. The result shows the ability and efficiency of the PMLs for absorbing boundaries. | |||||||
