In this case, glucose might have a role on supplying energy on the anabolic process. The amount of heat generated by the liver slices in the reconstructed system of urea synthesis was unexpectedly smaller than those in any other systems. This result apparently contradicts H. A. 内容記述 The amounts of heat generated by the liver slices incubated with glucose, amino acids, and glucose-amino acid mixtures were measured by using a micro-calorimeter. The order of magnitude in thermogenesis of the tissue slices with the various kinds of substrate composition, was as follows : G + E > G + E + NE -_~ E + NE > E > NE > G + NE > G where G stands for glucose, E for essential amino acid group and NE for non-essential amino acid group, respectively.
