The results obtained were as follows: 1) GPYP medium and pineapple juice medium induced browning by heating them after the cultivation of the isolated strain, 2) The induction of browning symptom by artificial inoculation of the isolated strain to pineapple fruits was 93 percent. 3) The isolated strain could be classified as a genus of Gluconobacter by Bergey\u0027s manual (8ed) and Asai\u0027s report.
