| 内容記述 | 2015 年に国連のSDGs(Sustainable Development Goals)が採択された。SDGs が様々な分野で研究され取り組まれているが、観光の分野においても、観光がSDGs の達成にどのように貢献できるかの議論が活発になっており、観光と SDGs の関係が模索されている。2021 年 7 月に，奄美大島，徳之島，沖縄県北部，西表島，が世界自然遺産に認定された。沖縄県北部では，電気自動車を用いたエコツーリズム事業が開始され，2020 年から，環境省や沖縄県自然保護課、一旅行会社が主体となって、SDGs を基に作成された GSTC (Global Sustainable Tourism Council)の持続可能なデスティネーション基準をもとに観光の自主ルール構築に取り組んできた。本稿では，SDGs と観光について概観し，その取り組みについて紹介し、持続可能な観光開発が，国連のSDGs 達成にどのように貢献できるかを，明らかにすることである。 | |||||||||
